The apartment is finally clean...kind of. Mike helped, which I am super thankful for, because I really didn't know where to start. It was a MESS. So messy in fact, we hadn't noticed that for a couple days, Camryn has been throwing her apple cores under the entertainment unit. Surprise to Mike, not to me.
What did surprise me though is that she broke a couple of Mike's Christmas ornaments from our Christmas tree that we had set up a few nights ago. (I'm not crazy, I just love Christmas!)
She also broke my angel ornament from my grandmother. That pissed me off. I think I was more angry with her that she broke Mike's ornaments though, it was a weird feeling of wanting to murder her but knowing I can't because I would a) get into a lot of trouble and b) still love her.
So, what did I do to punish her? I placed the apple cores in her bed (while she watched), and told her bugs eat old food that's left lying around...and it didn't matter if she took them off her bed or not, they were going to find their way into her bed, and crawl into her mouth while she's sleeping.
Maybe she'll learn a lesson, maybe not...but god I hope she does. She wants Mike to move in with us, but he won't because he's afraid she is going to wreck all his stuff. (Obviously a good reason to be apprehensive right now.)
So what's a mom to do?
