December: A Time For Love & Bad Decisions

December is here! That means for the next little while, I will be Christmas happy. Not just the joyous type, but the "buy everything that has to do with Christmas in Wal-Mart" type of happy. I don't think I have ever been this happy. It's most likely due to the fact that Mike is now in our lives, and thiungs are going great in that department.

Except for the fact that he shaved off his beard. He should get shivved for that. Who cares if Movember is over!?

A little while ago, my old friend Amanda reconnected after she blatantly ignored me for months because I decided I wasn't going to keep her cat any longer and returned him to her. It was an odd reconnection, and then BAM.

She's getting married.

These are the circumstances for which I don't condone and have decided not to partake in this wedding event:

  • She's 19 years old, and has NEVER had a real good long-term relationship.
  • She's been seeing this Kevin guy for two months when he proposed.
  • She just dropped out of her first year of college and hasn't even started community college yet.
  • She has no job as of right now and I seriously think it's because Kevin makes a lot of money.
  • She asked me to help out with her wedding before even asking if I would be a bridesmaid.
  • She hadn't planned for me to be a bridesmaid, since Kevin had to "add" to his party to "fit me in".
  • I'm not paying $150 on a dress I won't ever wear again, for a person who will stop talking to me as soon as she gets married.

I think that's reason enough. Why are girls in such a rush to get married?? Holy crap, slow down and experience life for a little while. Buy a house before getting married, live with the guy for more than a month before you decide to accept to do his dishes for the rest of your life.

On another note, Camryn's first Christmas concert is coming up. Remember all those old VHS tapes of Christmas concerts your mom used to buy? Well, my mom did...of every single concert I was in. I wonder if they still do that. Thankfully for Mike, it gives him an excuse to not go to his work's lame ass Christmas party.
